Muriel Bradbury has been an active member of a variety of literary groups, two of which have for instance included, The Chester Writers, and The Anglo-Welsh Poetry Society. She has been writing poetry and short stories for many years, and has had numerous poems broadcast on radio, and published in various magazines and anthologies, as well as having written regularly, in the past, for The Wirral Journal.

Having moved recently to Nantwich, she is now currently concentrating on bringing out her own anthologies
